One of my favourite English professors died in September, I just found out. Some of you have heard me talk about him, he was the one from the "kneeling under a tree" story and he was this utterly weird old man, but so, so clever and he loved the subject so much.

Memorial service is in February. I'll be going. Maybe even writing a paragraph for the book.

Goodbye, Professor Medcalf. I can safely say I'll never forget you.
