And in a follow-up to musings about moving to Canada... it seems my grandfather has joint citizenship because his father was Canadian. I knew the second part, but not the first.

This may well make me eligible to apply for citizenship too. Or not, because Grandpa lives in Kent and not, in fact, Canada. Ah well, I might still be eligible if I move there for three years first. Or I could just get a permanent visa.
