Next Saturday, I have a ticket to see Sean Bean in Macbeth at the Albery in London. I really, really want to go to that as well, and I can't change my booking, they told me that when I rang up to buy the ticket. At the time, I didn't think that would be a problem.
Of course, life is never that simple.
Aaargh. I don't know what to do. Cancelling the theatre is not an option, so the choice is either a) not go to the party (there will undoubtedly be others, but the alumni I mentioned may not be there) or b) hope the play finishes early enough for me to get a late train down to Brighton and turn up at the party at about midnight.
What would you advise? I really don't know which is the best way, right now...
EDITED TO ADD: Just looked up some reviews of the play, and one of them said it's only 2 hours long, meaning it finishes around 9.30, or 10 at the latest. Problem solved, then! That's easily early enough to get a train to Brighton if I do go to the party, which I almost certainly will.

I'm going to have such a good night!
