there's a major cable down, it is affecting a lot of internet services.
Ah, that's probably it, then. Where did you find that out?
couple of people who have had problems have laid announcements on their journals from their service providers.
Any ETA on repairs?
i think it may take some time...
(Jolene): "A TAT-14 transatlantic cable has gone down (the northern one). Given that
(Jolene): the southern one went down earlier this month and hasn't been fixed yet I
(Jolene): wouldn't expect a quick fix. This is NOT Pipex specific by the way "
Meh. Any indication that they can do *anything* to get things working at least a bit better?
(Sorry about all the questions...)
i've got no idea, sorry, i'll post something if i find out!
You might want to call your ISP and find out if something's up. That kind of thing happens a lot with my service. It's frustrating.

My internet was really weird yesterday. I couldn't get to any web pages but I could still get on AIM. Very strange for AIM to be working and nothing else!
