Book: Lord of the Rings
Words: 100
Rating: G
Notes: Because who says love has to be romantic?
Sam writes letters, every week without fail, though he has nowhere to send them.
He writes of the births of his children, of Merry and Pippin's marriages and the arrival of their little ones, of every small incident that makes up Shire life.
He writes news from the Big Folk, of Faramir and Eomer and Aragorn. Finally, he writes of sadder things, faithfully recording the passing of those he cares for both in and out of the Shire, each as it comes.
When his time comes to leave, he gathers the letters and takes them. Maybe they'll be read, now.
