I got an email from Patricia in HR just now. Apparently, I don't sign my contract until I go to the corporate induction on Monday and Tuesday, and I don't get paid until I sign my contract, which means I haven't been paid for June.

This is the first I've heard of this, and on 7 July, the CEO's PA told me I should have received my payslip by then.

I'm not wrong to be annoyed by this, am I? It just strikes me as a complete lack of organisation or communication or something.

ETA: I've signed all the paperwork now and she's going to try and get an advance cheque but it's looking like I'll have to wait until the end of July to get both months' pay. Guess it's a tight belt for the next two weeks.

On the one hand, as somebody who once handled paychecks, it makes sense. On the other, it is 100% absolutely something you should have been informed of. So you are totally right to be annoyed. *hugs*

What Rami said. You're not wrong to be annoyed that this wasn't made clear to you from the get-go.

You're not wrong at all. I'm guessing you should have been notified in multiple formats, and certainly at least once by a real human being. Especially if one CEO thought you should have been paid, that sounds like a screw up somewhere. I'm kind of surprised you can actually work two whole months without getting paid, too. Was there supposed to be an induction earlier or something?
